Top 5 pastries :)
IT’S LIKE YOU KNOW MY LOVE FOR BAKING :D
Legit, I used to work in bakeries for 4-5 years and wanted to further my career in that, but gluten wants to kill me now and gluten-free baking is never the same. Still, I absolutely adore pastries, both making and consuming (or previously consumed). So here we go!
Sfogliatelle - I learned to make these in my last bakery job and had learned from my mom that they were my grandfather’s favorite pastry. Wish he was still alive back then so I could bring him home the ones I made. They’re so pretty and delicious!
Cannoli - you haven’t lived life until you make fresh pastry dough, fry it, and shove ricotta cream into it.
Cinnamon rolls - I love making them and they’re so delicious! The best when they’re straight out of the oven and still gooey.
Strudel - because I’m a fan of making a BIG LOAF OF A THING and then cutting it up into individual noms :D apple strudel is my favorite. So flaky, so buttery. Nom!
Croissant - kind of basic in regards to the many different pastries out there, but still delicious and not difficult to make! Also it’s fun to line them with fillings before you wrap them up (which makes them something else, but it’s the same concept when making them).
also fuck pies I hate making pies delicious to eat but FUCK. PIES.
