São Paulo International Marathon, I can describe in a single sentence: lots lots lots of people! I didn’t do the entire marathon, too much for me at this stage, so my coach told me to do 15 miles, moderate.
The 15 miles race is well organized and the course is a bit hilly but it’s fine. The main problems are: they need to start it much earlier, 7:30AM is too late and becomes very hot during the end of the race; there are a considerable amount of water stations, but the water temperature is not icy cold (we need something to cool down our bodies) .
The funniest part of the race: at the end of 15 miles, there are some buses to take you back to the the place where the race started, but you have a big problem when the bus driver don’t know the way back. We did a big tour around São Paulo while he was trying to discover it.
