I have many random ideas in my mind so, some angst wemmegg with soulmates shit + a random ship that i like(Saparegg/Eggarata)
In the aether the moment an angel is born they are bounded to fall in love with someone, it can be a mortal, a demon or another angel, but the moment the angel meets their destined partner all their devotion, love and desire to protect are inmediatly redirect to the person they are bounded to, even if before they mate their soulmate they were in love with someone else or in the worst cases even in a relationship
the most interesting thing is when two angels are bounded since their natures make them devoted to each other means that if one of the angels dies the other one will go through a heavy heartbreak that either makes the angel go into a heavy and unescepable depression or to die of heartbreak.
Eggchan his whole life though that wemmbu was his soulmate, thats why he is so devoted to him, why he indulges him so much and why he stays with him all the time, their bond was so strong that it could be confused with a soulmate bond
That was until s3, after being transported back to the prison again, egg was just wishing to go back to wemmbu, arachnid was discussing something with saps, framing wemmbu as a rebel that did all of that on his own, thing that considering the other povs is not far from the truth, so as a peace offering arachnid gives eggchan to saps, and the moment saps and egg cross eyes it just happened
Saps was eggchan's soulmate, and eggchan was sap's soulmate.
So imagine how wemmbu would react when he finds that the love of his live now not only doesn't love him anymore, but that all that their 'friend'ship meant was now nothing but ash. He knows he can't do nothing, egg told him about it.
He can't reconquer egg, egg is incaple of loving some that isn't saparata, and he can't kill saparata because not only eggchan would not forgive him but also it may cause eggchan to die. He can't do anything against the nature of the aether, nothing but watch how his beloved now belongs to someone else, to the enemy.
