Thinking about Self aware Phighters. At first, something will feel off to them. They feel their limbs are heavy—something, or someone controlling their movements. Not only that, a heavy weight on their shoulders, almost like a burning gaze searing their back—at the same time, it also felt... comforting. Like something was keeping them safe, guiding them.
Then, there comes the whisperings—if they could even call them that. It was more like yelling at the back of their minds, yet they couldn't discern what it was saying. But they somehow knew... it was cheering for them.
Though, there are specific hours where this 'guidance' fades away, letting them be free. It sometimes made them feel lonely.
Curiosity eventually brimmed in them. Was this force a friend, or a foe?
Sword first confides in Rocket, saying that there's this weird feeling that he's being guided. It felt really weird, especially that he didn't mind it. In fact, it helped him focus more in the Phights, earning more Bux than usual!
Rocket tells Sword that he's not alone, that he's been having that exact occurrence. That the 'gaze' was on him while he was helping Zuka around Da Shop. Sword then wondered if Medkit was also the same, and took Rocket with him to find out.
It wasn't long after that word spread around. This 'gaze' that had been watching the Phighters specifically. All agreed to group up in the middle of Crossroads.
The atmosphere was tense, especially between the Inphernals who had past history with eachother. But Sword cleared the air, stating about the situation they were all in. Nobody except them receiving that gaze.
"Could it be a higher deity above?" Sword pondered, his chin in his hand.
"How could it be? The Swords are barely out in public." Rocket chimed in, being beside him. Everyone else were also in deep thought of what could it be. "Not after... what happened."
"Then what else could it even be?" Slingshot crossed his arms, feeling a bit disoriented about the whole situation. "What even is this... being anyway?"
"I've always felt it...or them... in the sky." Medkit muttered, before looking at a specific direction out in the sky. The others followed his gaze, seeing the vast horizon above.
At first, it looked normal. The clouds drifted, with the birds flying by. Then they saw it. A thin, vein-like outline in the sky. It felt out of place, akin to someone plastering black tape. The more they stared at it, the more it became apparenr.
Suddenly, the sky started to crack like glass, before the shards fell off. There was a perfectly rectangular hole in the sky—except there was someone in the middle. That someone, who held that same gaze, the same feeling that made them safe.
You.
