Hi!! New follower here. I wanted to know what your thoughts are about Serena and Fred... let's suppose they have a chance to go back to Gilead (maybe thanks to Fred's deal with the government of Canada). What do you think she'd do? Would she stay with him for the sake of the baby, or would she accept jail in Canada if that means keeping the baby away from Fred and Gilead? 💖

Hi! :D Welcome and thank you for following! I am so glad you asked this because i've literally been dying to talk theories with someone, no one I know IRL cares about the show that much (let alone Serena). But anyway so before last week's episode I felt so sure Fred and Serena were going to return to Gilead expecting a warm welcome (and ultimately not getting one). But now i'm honestly not sure! Fred now knows no one in Gilead gives two shits about him, and Serena definitely saw through Naomi and her ploy to take her child. So I think they both realize now that going back to Gilead would be dangerous. But that's also the storyline I personally would find the most interesting, if they both ended up back there somehow. If that was the case I think Serena would be willing to hang on to Fred, since she's smart enough to know she's nothing in Gilead without him. I'm really struggling to predict what's going to happen though. I'm not sure if Serena would choose prison in Canada knowing her child would be raised by someone else, BUT she might if she thought she would be killed if she went back to Gilead, or made a handmaid. Or perhaps she would make whatever choice she had to in order to protect the child, like you said. She did that once for Nichole so we know she has it in her. One thing i'm unsure about though, as far as we know the only charge against Serena was the one about her forcing Nick and June to have sex right? So i'm wondering if that charge will end up getting dropped, but I don't know. Unless i'm confused about that. But I do think if she had the opportunity to live free in Canada with her son she would absolutely take it and never look back.
