Oona's time as leader ends at dawn of the last day of winter...

The pack gathers near the entrance of the dense forest, roses beginning to bloom right at the edge. Oona's pack circle her, some getting close and giving goodbye nose touches, licks and huffs. Afterwards her pups walk with her, leaving the rest to lay in the rising moonlight. Oona follows the roses, her pups accompanying her. This wasn't their first time in these woods. Many moons ago Oona's lover followed these roses.

Eventually the group reach the clearing, there in the middle lay Akita's skull, a small primrose growing. Oona lays down next to her lover, a content sigh escapes her as her eyes close.

Her pups howl as vines over take Oona, revealing roses blooming along side Akita's flower growing to full bloom. Rest of the pack howl in unison, their final goodbye to their leaders.
