A long ass starter for @sapphirelost bc reasons.
It had been a long time since he’d felt this nervous. Not since his high school days could he recall ever having this many butterflies in his stomach. However this was something that definitely warranted this type of feeling. So much had happened in the last week, he went from overworking himself at Junes to hitting things off with Rise, and now he’s actually on his way to Tokyo to supervise a struggling Tokyo store... Two weeks... Two weeks in a part of Japan he’s never gotten a chance to see. All things considered, this already sounded like it was going to provide an interesting time.
Yosuke left that evening, he’d arrive late, but he was just following requests from Junes. He got to watch from the window as less and less green passed by, only to be replaced with more and more buildings. He really missed living in a big city, but after years of simply visiting them it’d be a rather interesting change. Yosuke didn’t know if he’d be able to migrate into such a lifestyle again, going from quiet to loud can be jarring for anyone, but at least he’s confident enough.
He’d texted Rise, letting her know of his expected arrival time, and she said she’d meet him there, which was a relief. It’d be nice to walk out of the train to see a familiar face in the sea of new things. Speaking of Rise... It was crazy how much they’d hit it off, going from embarrassed teases to talks of feelings in what felt like no time. All he knew was that he wanted to see her, after their conversations about each other he really feels the need to hug her.
A voice on the intercom pulled him from his train of thought, just to alert the passengers that their location would soon be arrived to. Taking a deep breath and clutching his suitcase handle, he tried to mentally prepare himself for what was about to happen. With one more little announcement on the intercom welcoming them to their location, the train began to come to a stop.
The doors opened and Yosuke left with some of the other passengers. Immediately he scanned his surroundings, looking for Rise. It was difficult, with so many people around he couldn’t quite see as well as he’d hoped. With enough perseverance he spotted her, and his heart fluttered a bit. Lugging along his suitcase behind him. It was difficult not to be too intense, not running and calling her name.. He had to calm himself as he moved in.
“Hey, Rise!” Walking up to her he did exactly what he said he would... Before anything else could happen he placed his luggage down and hugged her. It wasn’t a simple soft hug, he lifted her up in the process of this hug... “It’s good to see you again..”
