outside the hill house with @sarabnnctt
The job search was beginning to pick up some traction with interviews lined up out the wazoo for the next few weeks, which was why Wesley was affording himself some time outside with the kids. He was sitting on his porch since it was one of the nicer days out, the clouds long gone without a single drop of rain to be found. Frances and Ezra were kicking a soccer ball around in the front yard, and while he had to remind them a couple of times not to play rough, it was all around quite peaceful, even as a car pulled up the driveway. Squinting his eyes so that he could see better, he noticed the woman in front with ample recognition, immediately placing his beer down on the glass table and jogging over to where Sara was exiting the driver’s seat. “Here -- let me help you out,” he offered with a warm grin, not having seen Wyatt’s counterpart since Valentine’s Day, and especially not since the news of Stephanie’s, well, departure. “I know the perils of juggling babies and bags all too well.” He glanced back at his kids, who had begun chasing one another around the lawn. “You guys wanna come say hi to your cousin and Aunt Sara?”
