james is unfortunately not the best study partner because the man is #needy and needs your attention on him at all times :') howeverrrr when he sees you're actually getting stressed and not finding his demands for attention endearing anymore, he goes into mother mode. he brings you cut up fruit and kisses the top on your head, keeps coming back to check you have enough water, starts fiddling around with your fan to make sure it's aiming right at you (he ends up blowing papers off your table by accident but the look of terror on his face makes you giggle so u forgive him).
nothing compares to his excitement when you're finally done though! he's sitting on the couch watching a football match and the second you walk into his line of sight he's throwing the remote and the bag of chips on his lap away so he can spread his arms wide open for you! all with a huge smile, like a baby with his favourite toy :') "all done, baby?" and when you nod and burrow your face closer into his hoodie clad chest he can't stop giggling and kissing your head. "you're so smart, angel. smartest girl in the world. how do you carry that big brain around, huh? must be pretty heavy."
