Silk evening ensemble from French couture house Myrbor (see other Myrbor posts here), 1929. Myrbor employed Natalia Goncharova and Sarah Lipska, Eastern European artists who had worked as set designers with Leon Bakst and whose designs employed abstract and Cubist motifs. (I’ve posted Goncharova’s and Lipska’s work before.)

Cette œuvre a été présentée à l’exposition «Les femmes artistes d’Europe», au Musée du Jeu de Paume en 1937 ; elle est mentionnée dans son catalogue sous le titre erroné de Masque d’homme.
