This book has a backstory: when I was a travel jockey with zero life 🧳 I spent all my time me in mtgs and no life outside work. Over a dinner mtg in New York with a sen editor from Fortune (talking industry of course) I found myself complaining I have no dates to anything. He raises the notion of convenience/ as in, its convenient you and I are here having dinner because I don’t have a social life either. 😬 That gave me the idea for a convenient date: a hot, intelligent dinner or date companion one could call up on a dime, attend the required (boring) event and go home. Friends with purely platonic benefits. It was awesome envisioning my perfect convenient date~ as well as the gnarly events leading up to it~~ and for the break in scene, those with remote control security systems should know that hacking the AC systems is the #1 way burglars hack your security. Witting a historical fiction saga is wonderfully agonizing. The plot and characters, real and imagined must do justice to the facts without offending the entire population when we live in an PC crazed world.
