Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART por Marina Por Flickr: So I rented a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens for one day to try it out, because it's a lens update that I both can afford and seems like a good buy. I tried to do some testing and comparison shots for myself and you guys if you ever wondered if sigma 50mm ART lens is a worthwhile update from canon 50mm 1.4! I, myself, not sure yet. Off course, sigma does a better job AND can focus at closer proximity (hence a closer shots) and blurred parts of the image are lovelier but overal for doll photography they really not that breathtakingly apart in quality as maybe I was expecting. I am not sure yet. Still half a day to play with sigma so lets see how I feel about it later! So far it's rather lovely. But man, it's freaking HEAVY. oh, and I am using a Canon 70D, btw, which is my new favorite toy and sure was a really good update from my old friend 50D.
