For some time, Betuur had been mulling over the idea of leaving the Anchorites. It was true that he wanted to continue his work, but, he reasoned, by leaving, he would have far greater freedom to do as he pleased. No more having to put up the kind, gentle Priest act around those who were a threat to the marginalized and less fortunate.
Eventually, he came to the decision at least to talk it over with Ikeilos. The morning he planned to do so, however, a letter was hand delivered to him by a courier. He hadn't received any letters for a while; the handwriting on the envelope was unfamiliar and sloppy, and the return address was to a place he'd never heard of called "Sun's Peak" in the Eastern Plaguelands.
After tipping the courier, he headed inside and sat down at the table where he'd prepared his morning tea. The Anchorite flipped the letter open and was surprised to see a rather ornate wax seal - dark violet with gold trim, imprinted with the image of a rising sun. "Odd... I don't recall seeing this emblem," he mumbled to himself as he opened it, being careful not to break the seal.
The letter was barely-legible chicken scratch. It was almost entirely written in Draenic, save for a few words written out in Orcish, scratched out, then rewritten in either Draenic or (very poorly) in the common language of Azeroth. "Did a child write this?" he mused, slowly parsing the letter. In spite of the errors though, it was clear that the writer had a good grasp on the Draenic language but probably just wasn't very used to writing it. ((OOC note: words in the letter that were written in Common are not italicized.))
Anchorite Betuur -
I'm reaching out to you for re'ka assistance with some feelings I've had gul'nath great difficulty working through since the death of my osh'kazil chasbaand mate. I heard of your work through some others on Draenor and was told you moguna actually reside here on Azeroth. If you are not currently taking new kleiants patients appointments, I understand, but it would mean a great deal if you would be willing to meet with me.
Aka'Magosh Regards, Saranklei
P.S. Sorry for the spelling errors, I haven't written in Draenic in a long time.
It took a while to read due to the poor handwriting. Betuur pursed his lips when he finished and set the letter down, eyes immediately darting to all the crossed-out words. Why would someone who knew even a lick of Orcish want his help? Well, this Saranklei clearly knew Draenic as well - and that was an awfully Draenic-sounding name. Maybe there was something very wrong with him. Maybe he'd be an easy target.
A little smirk played at the Anchorite's lips at the thought. If nothing else, he could learn more about this Sun's Peak and the people there - perhaps they could all be swayed as well. "Well... perhaps I won't leave the Anchorites," he thought aloud. "It would certainly help to have a sponsored trip all the way to the Eastern Kingdoms..."
