re: the art classes post, pretty much every school is different, but I'm guessing many high schools don't require art at all?? mine required like half a year total iirc, but also as far as I know art and music programs get taken out easily when schools try to save money since they aren't core subjects, so there are probably schools that don't have them at all. colleges are all also a lot different from each other, but other than GEs people /should/ focus on their major/minor in college anyway...
In my experience though, basically EVERY degree has a bunch of general ed requirements
and like some of them are the obvious - everybody’s gotta take a couple englishes so they know you can Write Papers, public speaking is a really common one, there’s usually a math?
And there’s usually an art, so.
