They all are for Fern, Sarj and Shaun: 2, 9, 13, 24 and 34.
Runs circles around you and gives you a little forehead kith, thank you hon :3
2. what sort of music would they like? have you thought about what genres or bands do they lean towards? do they have a favorite song?
Answered something similar to this already but man I was so wrong then, makes me feel like I didn't know my pookies at all, so let's try again
Also no favorite song for any of them, they are as indecisive about it as I am
Fern likes pop, and if she had her own functioning radio at home she would blast it while cleaning or doing chores. One may hear her sometimes sing to herself while delivering mail, songs Snorkmaiden or MJ shared with her. Would probably adore theater and show tunes, please somebody give her tickets for her birthday
Sarj loves classical music and would be so obnoxious about it too if they didn't have this well put together and stoic facade to maintain. Like they want to dig into and correct Pappa so bad when he gets a composer's or composition's name wrong, like how can you mix X up with Y, tch tch, unbelievable. They have a soft spot for Tchaikovsky because their sister was obsessed with Swan Lake. Robert Schumann fan..
Never really thought about what Shaun would like realistically tbh.. I think he would vibe with jazz and big band, like listen in on what's happening in clubs whenever he was snooping around cities. Likes how it feels like a conversation between the players. Hums finnish folk songs to himself when he's walking around at night with company, mostly to fill the silence
9. favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?
Fern loves a good soup, any kind of soup really. Her favorite tho is definitely corn soup, creamy, and some cheese on top of it. Also really loves porridge and baked chestnuts. Can't stand the taste or smell of fish tho- she really tried to like it but it just makes her want to throw up. Other than that she only avoids sour tasting stuff
Sarj claims that they don't like sweets at all but they would kill for a plate of sweet quark strudle, and misses their mom's home cooking terribly. Like please somebody chuck a bratwurst and sauerkraut their way. I wouldn't call them a picky eater, tho there are some dishes they avoid, but would not turn it down if somebody offered them some. Would never throw out food either, wasting is a great sin in their eyes
Shaun's a vegetarian and mostly forages for his meals. Doesn't really cook?? He may know a lot of spells, but couldn't tell you how to make a simple dish to save his life. Really likes pumpkins and grapes. Would definitely love spicy food too if he had the chance to try some. Now he DOES dislike sweets, like the real too sugary stuff, and also chocolate. Finds the taste overwhelming and he swears they hurt his teeth
13. what languages do they speak? how fluently?
Fern speaks english, knows a teeny tiny bit of french because of her time at the Riviera and knows some basic phrases in finnish now because of some textbooks Snork lent her
Sarj's first language is german and started learning english after moving to Moominvalley. To be honest they were struggling a lot at the beginning, too proud to ask for help. Still mixes up words and their accent gets very thich when agitated
Shaun used to have a niffty spell that just. Allowed him to understand any language and another that translated the stuff he said to others, but now that he doesn't have those no more he was stuck with only finnish for some time. Eventually picked up english from traders
24. do they have any creative hobbies? (art, writing, music, etc)
Fern picked up sewing and knitting after settling down thanks to Mamma, mostly making socks, scarves and mittens with more or less success, but she's very enthusiastic about it! Occasionally does pottery and sometimes makes special little cups for Root Beer. Wants to learn how to play at least one instrument but poor thang has no ear for it
Sarj used to play the piano, but since they don't have access to one at the moment they just kind of accepted that this skill of theirs gonna fade out and they never will play as well they used to back in their hometown's church. Writes poetry on the job and would probably threaten you if you got your hands on their notebook
Shaun carves little figurines and jewelry out of wood and bones sometimes. Hangs them up on trees or leaves them around for other people to find because he just doesn't feel like keeping them. Is interested in trying out painting but thinks it's too tedious
