When I was a child I yearned for a #SashaDoll, but they were far too expensive and I never had one. This is from the #1980 catalogue. #vintagedoll

Sasha Baby Girl Doll 1973-1974 Trendon (Frido) England EUC w/replaced outfit

This gently played with early Sasha baby has a period-appropriate replaced outfit , which includes a red plaid flannel dress, white knit tights, and a tiny flocked teddy bear on a red ribbon.

Her shiny brown hair is thick and not missing any plugs (no empty plug holes that I could find)

I was able to obtain a more precise year for her production by consulting the _Sasha Doll Serie Identification_ guide by Susanna E. Lewis. The Lewis guide shows a picture marked “1973-June 1974” with the same tan (or “pumpkin”) upper elastic, white leg elastic, and white (yellowing) plastic head socket connector ring as I found inside this English Trendon (aka Frido) company Sasha baby.

The other detail which marks this baby as coming from the earlier production era is that she has molded eyelids, which I’ve read in multiple sources appear on older molds. The doll is sexed as female, which also places her as being manufactured before 1978. (I have tried to capture both of these identifiers, as well as the elastic details, in the photos.)

Her upper elastic is a slightly loose, but considering it’s original and gives an accurate reading for her year of production, I did not want to alter this detail.

She would make a wonderful start or addition to your Sasha Doll collection!
