🇨🇦 JASPER 🇨🇦 . . When I was very small, my grandpa gave me atlas of the world. I think it was printed in 1988, London had not more than 2 mil of inhabitants, there was still Czechoslovakia and Soviet Union... . At the back of the book were photographs from places around the world such as New York, Sydney, Moscow... and one of those photos was from Jasper. At the time I was able to read, it was for just a magical place in another galaxy, galaxy out of my reach. . . And suddenly, just after some 20-25 years, I am roaming through Jasper National Park. . 🇨🇦 NEAR ATHABASCA RIVER 🇨🇦 . . Today I got this one printed. It looks so different than I expected... 🍁❤ . Once you go down this road, make sure you have a lot of time to spare. Google told me that it could take max 4hrs from Banff to Jasper. It is nearly impossible to avoid vistas, and that is why we spent on the road from Jasper more than 7hrs ! . 🇨🇦 ICEFIELDS 🇨🇦 . . One of my favourite places in Canada. These mountains might nlook similar to many other mountain ranges, but what amazes me is how vast this natural wonder is. . The road connecting Banff and Jasper village is long roughly 300km. I felt somehow strange to experience 300km of scenic views, as I could not imagine that there could be so much beauty on a such great landscape. . That day it was raining heavily (nothing special) and at one moment it seemed snowfall would start. 🇨🇦 THE TRUE NORTH 🇨🇦 . .They say Canada is the 'true north'. So we aimed north as well 🤓 . . Jasper National Park and the amazing Icefields Parkway took us to a whole different road. . It wasn't planned to go tgat far, but the weather forecast promised heavy rains everywhere except the north. So our destination became village of Jasper. On the road we stopped near Sunwapta Falls. . Weather was very different as well.
