hi, everyone! ♡ consider this your friendly seasonal housekeeping post from the mod team! first and foremost, thank you all for continuing to make satori such a welcoming and creative place to write. we love seeing new friendships form, plotlines develop, and everyone's characters continue to grow. with that in mind, we wanted to share a few reminders.

connections updates

please remember to send in any significant relationship updates for the connections page. if your characters have become official, broken up, gotten engaged, gotten married, or otherwise had a major change in relationship status, we'd appreciate a quick heads up so we can keep the page current and accurate for everyone. this includes family dynamics as well!

rules refresher

we've had a few questions pop up more than once recently that are already addressed in our rules. nobody is in trouble, but we'd appreciate everyone taking a few minutes to give them a quick reread when you have the chance. even the most seasoned members can benefit from a refresher every now and then, and it helps ensure we're all on the same page moving forward.

tour schedules

if your muse has upcoming tour dates, please don't forget to submit them for the tour schedule page! we'd love to keep that resource as complete and up to date as possible, and we can only add dates we receive.

please remember to discuss any schedule changes with your fellow writers if you're playing members (or affiliates) of the same band or group so everyone stays on the same page.

plotting and interactions

as the community continues to grow, we'd like to gently encourage everyone to keep branching out when possible. while it's always comfortable writing with familiar faces, some of the most rewarding plotlines often come from unexpected interactions, new friendships, and connections you may not have considered before.

if you're looking for something new, don't forget that the plot call form on satori tv is always available. whether you're searching for fun chats, backstory connections, or entirely new plotlines from scratch, it's a great way to interact with fellow members and get the conversation started.

character sheets and sideblogs

we'd also like to encourage everyone to take advantage of their character sheets and sideblogs if they haven't already.

character sheets are a great resource for both you and your fellow writers. they help keep important information organized, provide insight into your muse, and make plotting with new people much easier. if you've filled one out and haven't sent it in yet, please link us as soon as possible so we can get it added to the masterlist!

for our oc writers, this is also a good opportunity to double check that your faceclaim information is accurate. if anything needs to be corrected, just let us know and we'll get it fixed.

the same goes for sideblogs. whether you're posting photos, playlists, social updates, or little glimpses into your character's day to day life, sideblogs are a fantastic way to develop your muse outside of chats and one on one interactions.

they also help our gossip team! sideblog activity gives them more material to pull from when putting together posts and games, which helps keep the world around your characters feeling active and connected.

tags

we've noticed a bit of confusion recently around tags for intros and selfie posts, so just a gentle reminder to double check you're using the correct group tags when posting!

if you're ever unsure, you can always refer to the tags page.

events

the mod team has been brainstorming a few interactive event ideas behind the scenes for satori tv. these would be community wide opportunities for characters to interact, travel, socialize, and create new connections.

participation would never be mandatory, but we'd love to get a feel for overall interest before moving forward with anything official. knowing how many people would potentially participate helps us determine the scale of future events and what kinds of activities would work best for the community.

hi angels! there's a quick mod housekeeping note ahead of the holiday season below the cut, please read when you can!

firstly and most importantly, we've recently updated our rules. while largely the same, there are some new additions. please reply to this post with your favorite soda once you've read them. if you have any questions on the new rules, please come to us off anon in an ask or tumblr im. as usual, anons will not be responded to, particularly those with passive aggressive or hostile language.

in addition, we have a new mod chats! if there is anything you need to come to us with that you don't feel comfortable doing so on tumblr, the username is in the rules. we do ask that if you do message us on chats, and you don't hear from us within a few hours, please let us know you've messaged us via tumblr im - just in case your message has gone into spam. please ensure that you are going through the follow list in totality upon acceptance, and also keeping up to date on your follows by actively following new members; please do not wait for people to follow, and then follow them back. this applies to everyone!

for musicians and affiliates who will be touring in 2026, if you plan to follow tour schedules, please submit those to us so we can update the tour schedule page ahead of the new year. a reminder that characters/writers aren't obligated to follow canon touring schedules, but if you do choose to do so, please ensure all members of your band/group are in agreement, if applicable, to avoid any confusion!

finally, we really, truly appreciate the patience that you've all shown with both of us over the last couple of weeks as we navigate the most effective way to mod with just the two of us. we have both been busy with other responsibilities so things have been slightly quieter than we would like, but are dedicated to ensuring this group continues to run as smoothly as possible. we've received some really nice messages that have been really encouraging for us, and we wanted to extend a thank you for those! 🤍

hi everyone! we've been made aware that some members are receiving unsavory/rude/hateful anons.

we ask that if you do receive an anon like this to please not post and to delete them immediately. we believe that engaging with these anons in any way or referencing them in other posts, ic or ooc, will encourage the anon to continue sending them for further reaction.

we understand the impact that receiving anons like this can have on writers mentally, and want to help as best as possible to eradicate this behavior. if you are receiving anons of this nature, or have in the past, please come to the mods so we are aware and can do whatever is needed on our end to try and handle this issue. screenshots of said anons would also be great.

if we find that members continue receiving anons like this over the coming days, we'll be asking all members to turn the anon feature off indefinitely. if we find a current member of satori has been sending nasty anons of any type, that writer and their muses will be removed with immediate effect and banned from the group with no exceptions.

if you have an issue with another writer or muse, please block/soft block rather than engaging in behavior like this. we are all adults in this group, and want to maintain a mature, respectful space for all members. thanks for reading all!

hi, lovebugs! we wanted to make a quick post to address something that's recently come to our attention and to gently clarify a few of our rules moving forward.

when a character is removed for inactivity or rolehogging, that role is officially reopened and becomes available for anyone to apply for. this is part of our established process and is intended to give everyone an equal opportunity to pick up available characters. members who are removed for inactivity are also required to wait 48 hours before reapplying for that same role. if another writer applies and is accepted for a reopened character before that waiting period ends, they have done nothing wrong by applying, and we ask that everyone please keep that in mind. no one should ever be made to feel unwelcome for picking up a role that was available.

we also wanted to take this opportunity to reiterate our activity rules. every character will receive three activity warnings total before being removed for rolehogging on the fourth warning. we completely understand that real life comes first, and sometimes unexpected things happen. if you know you'll be away from the dash for a while, become unexpectedly busy, or need to step away due to illness or personal reasons, please let us know as soon as you're able so we can place your character on hiatus. we'll never ask for personal details or explanations beyond what you're comfortable sharing - we simply ask that you communicate with us so we know what's going on. we're always happy to work with you whenever we can.

we also understand that it can be disappointing to lose plots or see a familiar character change hands. those feelings are completely valid, and it's okay if you need to unfollow or block a character for your own comfort. however, sending anonymous hate, targeting another member, or making someone feel unwelcome because they picked up an available role isn't something we can allow. everyone deserves to feel comfortable and safe writing here.

if you ever have questions about a mod decision, concerns about our rules, or an issue involving the group, please don't hesitate to come talk to us off anon. we'd always much rather have a conversation and help clear things up than have anyone feel like they need to handle things on their own.

at the end of the day, our job as mods is simply to help keep satori a welcoming, comfortable space for everyone who wants to be here. while we know ooc disagreements can happen from time to time, if they don't directly involve the group, the dashboard, or raise a safety concern within our community, we kindly ask that they stay outside of satori so they don't affect anyone else's experience here.

lastly, we'd like to ask everyone to be mindful of how anonymous messaging is being used. it's a feature we'd love for everyone to continue enjoying, but if anonymous harassment or similar behavior continues, we won't hesitate to ask everyone to temporarily turn their anonymous asks off while we work through the issue. we'd really prefer not to take that step, so we're asking for everyone's cooperation in helping keep this a positive environment.

hi everyone - we hate that we have to be making this post, but something has been brought to our attention that is truly unacceptable.

under no circumstances is it okay to send anon hate to another writer or character. we are all here to have fun and express ourselves creatively, and to send anyone abusive messages behind anon is completely uncalled for.

if you have any issues with a character or writer, please speak to a mod off anon - do not resort to sending anonymous hate to your fellow roleplayers. if this persists, we will have to ask members to switch their anon feature off.

hi everyone! hope everyone is having a good day so far. there's an important mod note below the cut; please ensure that you read, and thank you in advance!

we understand that people will be closer with some characters than they are with others, and that’s completely fine! however, we have noticed an increase in what could be regarded as bubble rp’ing. we understand notes aren’t everything but it can be discouraging when there’s a large disparity between how things are responded to leading to some feeling disconnected from the dash.

we're all here with a common purpose - wanting to write our favourite characters and have a safe, fun space to do so!

if you see other people posting on the dash, please do your best to engage with them beyond a like - you never know, you could make a new friend! try to also reach out to new people on chats, and make sure you're checking invites (and spam!) as well. giving love to your friends will never be discouraged but we want everyone to be aware that we can share the love a little more. we don't want to start giving warnings for bubble rp'ing, but if concerns continue to be brought to us it may be something we need to consider.

we want satori to be a welcoming space for everyone here and a hub of community and socialization, we can only do that with everyone's help!! once you've read through everything, please reply to this post with your favorite color.

hi everyone. we know there have been a lot of mod notes lately, but please find some housekeeping below!

we have recently made some updates to the rules. we ask you read them full, and comment with an emoji once finished. if you have any questions on the updated rules, let us know!

due to a number of hostile anon messages received by the mod blog, we will be keeping anon off for an unspecified period. it's unfortunate it has come to this, but the content and tone of those messages has taken a toll on both mods. please remember we do deserve respect, not even as mods but as people. we will post when we have turned anon back on.

for any reserves, if you don't wish to have a blog attached on main to your reserve but want to gauge interest or plots, please message us on tumblr im and we will make a post on the mod blog on your behalf.

we wanted to give a gentle reminder to people to check their spam and invites folders, particularly after liking a post to talk on the dash. we've had some concerns raised that messages are being lost, so please be sure to double check! we're also aware of some ongoing issues with chats; if you are having any issues and need to change accounts, please let us know.

lastly, we want to take a moment to say thank you for the kind messages we've received from members over the weekend. they truly meant a lot to us. we work hard to maintain this space and try to keep things as fair as we can for everyone, and knowing that hasn't gone unseen really does mean a great deal. thank you all for being here and sticking with us 🤍
