This past Tuesday in Durham, NC, affectionately known as the Bull City, history was made when Ms. Satana Deberry was elected as the first Black woman to serve as the city's District Attorney. In addition to her latest achievement, "titles" and accomplishments, I know one of her greatest and most cherished roles is being a Mother to three daughters. Satana has been habitually consistent with paying homage to her parents and elders for laying a firm foundation for human justice and respect, and the importance of giving back to your community via service. She has done that and more. Your community sees YOU and we're exceptionally proud of YOU too! 2018 has been designated as the year of women, as they are the facilitators of life and they give birth to nation builders.
