Maybe One Day

Maybe  one  day and  on  this  one  day, I’ll  sit  down  with  God.

I’ll  have  tea  and  biscuits, and  he’ll  dim  down  the  5  p.m.  sun. We’ll  go  over  these  words, to  see  what  else  is  needed.

“Honey,  for  the  tea?”  He’ll  ask.

And  I’ll  revisit  all  my  scars  without  tears  to  say,  “Yes,  please!”
