The Saucy Devil Burger from @saucychip. Beef patty, chilli cheese, streaky treacle bacon, onion jam, Holy Fuck mayo, mustard. £11. WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT! Isn't it beautiful? For a place that specialised in chips I thought the burgers would be a standard offering, nothing to get excited about, but I'm jumping up and down just looking at it. The beef, from @flockandherd, is of a generous size, really thick, but competes in quality with the best. Jules has definitely put as much thought into the burgers as she has done with the chips. For me this burger wasn't too hot, for others it probably is. But the onion jam and treacle bacon add a great balance of sweetness. So @saucychip is pretty special. I won't go in to detail about the burgers now, I'll do that this weekend. But this is about chips, and I didn't think chips could be special, until now. Cheese and gravy, katsu curry, chilli cheese, pesto and Parmesan, garlic mayo. The portions are MASSIVE. I went for Rock and Roll Chips (cheese and gravy), Kick Ass Chilli Cheese Chips, and Chippy Curry Chips. All of them incredible, but the signature Rock and Roll were the winners for me. Ranging between £5-£7, you get more than your money's worth. Plus there's about 400 dips to choose from. (Okay, so there's about 20). The most important part is the quality of the chip.
