I’m going to have school and work, and I’m going to have to play catch up on assignments and studying since I did fucking nothing over this break, and I’ve already been stressed and depressed as hell all week.

oh that's wonderful. honestly waltzing what seems to be a 20 something knight through hyper-conservative-culty Tython was very "ffs am I the only adult here" to me. if the knight is a smol bab it becomes more protective? in a way?
Yesssssss, yes exactly! =D Really, the entire thing just makes more sense if you headcanon that the JK is barely even a teenager. The other Jedi who lecture you sound 100% less patronizing if they’re saying all this to a child rather than a grown-ass adult. Orgus’s “great feat” of collapsing a cave tunnel would actually look super impressive.
And then there’s the poor twi’leks. The twi’leks. Like, they’ve been suffering for so long and their bitterness already makes a ton of sense, but now imagine that the 1 person who’s sent out and is actually willing to do something (unlike the other Jedi Master we see loitering in their village, who wants to help but doesn’t actually do shit with his own two hands) is a small child. Like... how insulting is that? And there’s that warring feeling of “how dare???” combined with this feeling of protective horror over the fact that a kid is going to almost certain death, all small and idealistic and determined to protect the entire village all on their onesies.
And then the bewilderment that said child not only survives, but keeps succeeding?? Like, that more than anything else would strengthen the idea that the JK is stupidly strong, like they’re supposed to be in canon. And it explains even more why Ranna is willing to give Orgus over to Bengal, but protects the JK because the JK is a kid we can’t murder a child guys I don’t care what the crazy nautolian told us to do.
And lastly but not least, it explains the strength of the force bond that you forge with Orgus. Like that’s a plot point later on, they really needed to justify how close the JK and Orgus Din are waaaaaay before Orgus’s death. And like... in game, the entire story on Tython seems like it takes place over a single day. Maybe a week, tops. That’s... that’s not how padawaning works, guys. But if you headcanon that you remain Orgus’s padawan for much longer and that the final conversation where the Council knights you and sends you to Coruscant doesn’t happen for another 3-6 years, everything makes so much more sense.
...and wow I rambled on about this for way longer than I expected. I just have a lot of feelings about this apparently <3

My mom thinks this. She told me if everyone would just tithe to their church we wouldn’t have poverty or need government assistance.
There are so many things wrong with that, but the one that leaps to my mind is: Even if this were true, why is church assistance good and government assistance bad? In order to be effective, it would have to be exactly the same thing.
I know “mumble mumble something Jesus.”

(And yes, plenty of Christians, and the biblical Jesus, would join me in headdesking.)
