Kool Keith, Thirstin Howl III, Sav Killz & Frank Knight Rock Brooklyn Knitting Factory
Listen, take it from me. When it comes to DJ J-Ronin and All Elements Music, this is a collective of heartfelt musicians. Hip-Hop musicians that is. It is pretty factual that we don’t have that today. Many so-called artists perform acts of artistry not because their soul is intact with creation, but prize of FAME. These are not the caliber of artists you will find at DJ J-Ronin show.
Last Sunday, June 26th All Elements Music presented the Kool Keith, Thirstin Howl III, B.A.R.S. Murre, Sav Killz and Frank Knight showcase at the Brooklyn Knitting Factory. Plus! There was a special guest in the house.
First up was Brooklyn’s own Frank Knight. Not only is Frank a dope lyricist, but he is a well rounded performer, in better words, an entertainer. Frank Knight set the show off when he showcased his collaboration craft with hip-hop and jazz band, QNA. That band is one of a damn kind. This collab proves the power and unlimited stretch of the hip-hop arts.
Knight also brought out songstresses Cheri LaShell and Kola Rai to perform their R&B touched collabs. Keeping it hardcore, Frank brought out fellow rappers Smoove and Mastermind to give us that bar-bound fury. Knight showed the audience that night how it should be done, when it comes to the modern day hip-hop artist. POTENCY.
Next up on the mic was Sav Killz, a well-rounded hip-hop veteran. Anyone that was looking for that classic boom bapping, wordplaying, rhyme scheming vibes, were certainly in tune for Sav Killz.
After Sav Killz, came Jersey’s own B.A.R.S. Murre. Ain’t get to catch that one.
Now we got a headliner on the mic! Best known as the founder of the Lo-Life movement, Thirstin Howl III took to the stage and put on a colorful Lo-Life swagged performance. If you are a Lo-Life rocker, then you certainly would have be put in awe.
When hip-hop legends take the mic…finally Kool Keith who is best recognized as the key body of the Ultramagnetic MCs took the crowd through a journey of his hits, in signature fashion. The true hip-hop head was rocking and set in satisfaction. The nostalgia of classic hip-hop heightened when the special guest hit the stage. We all know him as a body of the Def Squad and superb solo MC. The special guest was the one and only, Keith Murray. Murray grabbed the mic and blessed the crowd with his vibes, sealing the nostalgia feel of the building.
