Great Britain Volleyball

I love volleyball. I've played volleyball since the fifth grade and it's the only sport I enjoy doing. But besides playing the game, I love watching the game. My favorite players are Misty May- Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings from the USA Women's Beach Volleyball Olympic Team and a player that a personally know and am good friends with is Kendall Cook, a junior at the Woodlands High School in Texas. This year my friend Kendall and her team won the championship for the best high school volleyball team in Texas. But since none of these players are British they don't meet the requirements of the assignment so I had to discover new players like I would love to play like. After watching hours of Great Britain's matches, there was one player I admired in particular. Number 1, Savanah Leaf. She was an outside hitter for the team. The reason why I loved her so much is because she is a very strong hitter, she has a lot of height at the net which allows her to make great blocks, and she has awesome serves. After observing her on the court, I just had to know where she played for college. So I googled her and she played volleyball at the University of Miami which is one of the schools I aspire to play college volleyball. So at this point I was thinking that we were basically the same person. Then after reading about her I looked through her pictures and we share the same jersey number (21). At this point I'm like yeah we're twins. But overall I realized that yeah I like Misty and Kerri the dynamic duo, but I never want to play beach volleyball, and Kendall is such a great player but we play completely different positions on the court. She's a setter and I'm a hitter. I knew that watching them I didn't really want to be like them it was Savanah. She is a great hitter which is what I am, she went to one of my top picks for college volleyball, and she played for an olympic team. I love that I had a chance to discover her because I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Great Britain. But I discovered that I love Savanah Leaf and I would learn to have a similar hitting technique as her and play like her in general.
