One of the greatest shows ever created is at risk of being cancelled.
Prime Video's A League of Their Own tells the story of one of the first women's professional baseball teams in the USA back in 1943.
It's about finding your place in a world that's trying to keep you in a tiny box.
It's about going after your dream even if it costs everything you know.
It's about the multiple ways of love.
It's about finding out who you are and staying true to it.
It's about being there for for those who need your.
It's about learning how to ask for help and who you can lean on.
It's about family, the one you're born into and the one you choose.
It's about finding happiness despite racism, homophobia and every other kind of prejudice.
If you care about the representation on women, people of color, LGTBQIA+ and so much more, please help us save this show. Join us for Power Hour on twitter every weekday at 9 PM UTC using the hashtags #ALeagueOfTheirOwn and #MoreThanFour and LET'S ROB THE BANK!
Carson, blessedly, doesn’t make her wait longer.
She bunches up her skirt around her waist and reaches for her and Greta is undone almost immediately.
"I've got you…" Carson murmurs against her cheek, Greta's face buried against her neck as Carson strokes and kneads against pulsing, hot, want. "I've got you, love…"
Greta tenses, a strangled whine escaping her throat as Carson moves in a rhythm that will ease her hurt away, will shove it all out the door, will make her forget…
She leans her head on Carson's shoulder as she falls, catching her breath. She doesn't catch her breath, though, as gasps turn into wheezing and into strangled, cathartic sobs. Carson holds her as she calms, runs her hands up and down her back.
Carson does that, she's come to realize. She makes her feel loved -- no, she actually loves her -- enough to make her go face-to-face with the demons.
And Greta lets her.
Because Carson will always catch her.

I've been posting daily entries for Leaguetober. This was a snippet from today's prompt, "Kitchen Table".
