#batfactfriday the #greyheadedflyingfox is endemic to eastern Australia. They eat nectar and fruit from a variety of plants, thus having an important role in seed dispersal and pollination. They live in large colonies and migrate according to food availability. The grey-headed flying fox is listed as vulnerable mostly due to loss of habitat and persecution by humans as they are thought of as a pest in agricultural communities.
