Save Cantilan
The real challenges that face our beloved hometown nowadays are massive and daunting. We perceive that to solve it in a holistic manner every Cantilangnon will find meaning and sense of sacrifice for his hometown. There is no group that can do it alone, not even government. It is for this reason that this initiative is conceptualized.
Reconnecting Cantilangnons
Basically, the initiative is to link and mobilize Cantilangnons, living locally and abroad and challenge them to reconnect to their hometown to affirm our identity and shape our destiny. Cantilan is our birthright and our home. If there’s one thing or place that we need to provide care and support, it’s our hometown, Cantilan.
Charting our Own Destiny
Cantilangnons are spread all over the world, bringing new identity, prestige and honor to their hometown through their individual endeavour and toil, may it be in government, military service, business, law, medicine, science, education art, etc. We cannot allow other people to chart and influence our destiny as a community. We have enough Cantilangnon experts who can take care of this whether in the field of local development planning, investment, tourism, etc.
The Movement and it’s Purpose
Save Cantilan is a multi-sectoral movement initiated by the Cantilan Bank Incorporated through the Cantilan Bank Foundation Incorporated in collaboration with other local and national non-governmental organizations and government agencies. It envisions developing a system where interested Cantilangnons can link and reconnect to their hometown and fellow Cantilangnons through on-line social networking. Through this system, every Cantilangnon will receive the latest events, news, and information on how to extend help.
