Jonathan Black (Deception Fanart - Animated Gif)
All the shows I’ve watched that are now cancelled (or ending):
~Deception ( @incorrectdeceptionquotes keeps it alive, and I love her for it.)
~Once Upon a Time
~Shadowhunters (yes I read the books and I prefer them, don’t kill me)
~Time After Time
~The Librarians
~Voltron
~and now Supernatural
I feel like there are more. If there are I’ll add them later.
~Arrow (although I don’t consider myself part of the fandom, considering I have completed the whole show.)
+ Bonus
I need friends
Irl none of my friends like the same things I do so I need friends on here that I can talk to about the things I like! Like/follow if you like:
• Assassins creed (any)
• Marvel (avengers/deadpool/etc)
• Deception
• Greys Anatomy
• (I can't think of any more so if you like something and want a friend send me an ask or a message!)
Who else initially thought that Cameron and Johnathan Black were played by different actors and not Jack Cutmore Scott being them both?
If you haven’t heard of a little show called Deception, then you should really check it out. It is a fanatically unique show unlike any on television. It has a diverse cast, phenomenal acting, and a captivating story line with brilliant writing. And it has also been cancelled after only nine--now ten--episodes having aired.
Deception deserves better then it received. I could go on and on for pages about why this show is so special, but I will save that for a separate post. For here, I will simply say that this show was not given a chance to thrive and it deserves a second chance.
Currently there are several ideas going around to rally people to the cause of saving this show and giving it the second season it deserves. One suggestion is to get the tag “Save Deception” trending on all social media platforms possible. Another is in the spirit of the show Jericho and suggest sending a letter and decks of playing cards to the studio. These are both brilliant ideas, and I hope that people will rally to the cause.
Deception is one of those shows that is truly unique and unlike anything currently on television. To be cancelled after only nine aired episodes is simply not even giving the show a chance. I hope that you will join me in rallying to the cause and fighting to give this brilliant show the second season it deserves.
Why I’m okay with what Jonathan did to Cam
Deception. It’s already clear in print what the show is about. What you think something is on the surface turns out to have more layers underneath it. It’s all about perspective.
And that’s exactly how I see what Jonathan did- in a different perspective. My theory is that he is playing a long con on MW. Knowing how Cam has tried his best to stick to the law and morals, especially with Kay as an FBI agent (and love interest) in the picture, Jonathan couldn't involve his brother in his plans, which may incriminate them both. Much as Jonny is hurt because of the many things Cam and their father had made him do, Jonathan is a smart, logical man, I think, even smarter than Cam. And he cares for Cam, no matter how crap his life has been, always in the shadow of his twin, heck, even basically treated as if he didn’t exist for his entire life. People aren’t perfect, and we all have our breaking point. I knew Jonny was bound to reach his, and he let that pain and anger out in that punch. He meant it, yes, but in a way he didn’t have much of a choice. (I don’t remember who said this on Twitter or Instagram, but I agree that Jonny wanted to keep tabs on MW). The woman who screwed up his life even more was getting away yet again!! And given how fond she is of Jonny, he can easily use that to his advantage by learning more about her, her intentions, etc., and eventually...
well, it’s just my hunch, but Jonathan is planning one of heck of a revenge against MW.
What he was going to do, he refused his brother to go down with him once it came to that.
Jonny let his brother think he betrayed him and left him there to suffer the same thing he did. It was the only way to make it as believable as possible, using his real pain as the very disguise.
Jonny is going to paint outside the lines of the law to catch MW and once it comes to it, and I stand firm on this...Jonathan didn’t want Cam to go down with him.
