There wasn’t much of a response to the detective’s observation beyond a sigh. Rise had heard such lines time and time again… It unfortunately came with being objectified and touted about like some forbidden fruit. But, maybe that was a bit unfair of her. Some of her fans did lust after her, to be sure, but, there were plenty more who genuinely enjoyed her work, and felt inspired by her. Those were the fans she kept fighting for… and though Naoto might not have been a fan of ‘Risecchi’, she was a dear friend.
Rise’s trust in her was enough for a smile to finally tug at those pouty lips. She knew that such a remark came from the heart, and from that deeper understanding they shared. Still, she shook her head. Maybe confiding in the other would make her feel better about the idea. “I dunno, Naoto-kun… You know I’m forbidden from dating, right? It ‘ruins the image’ or something dumb like that. And if you take away all the idol glam to try and get around that, you take away the main reason people even want to date me.”
