Gavin Newsom is the worst sort of politician, one who talks up his commitments, while selling out his constituents. His appointed CPUC slashed money earned selling energy back to the grid by 75%. This debilitates new projects after April, turning rooftop-solar into a luxury item. No one benefits, except for PG&E, which wants to retain its monopoly on power.
The criminal company has given Gavin Newsom more than $200,000 in bribes (campaign funds). In terms of corruption, we can’t imagine much worse than wrecking mom-and-pop businesses that were critical for saving us from apocalypse. Except perhaps for letting PG&E get away with murder, which Newsom has also done.
