PSA- this is going on right now. I wouldn't care if the stories linked to my AO3 or ffn account, but no, it's fully copied and pasted to this site. Three of mine were there. Make sure you check for yours, and write them an email to take it down!!

I found a new app today called ReadEra that turns downloaded A03 fics into books you can read easily on mobile. (Especially the EPubs). No ads, no AI. Options for dark mode and light mode. Can get it to read out loud. Saves the spot in your publication. Easily track through every book in several ways.

with basically the advent of FFN’s death knell i had to go back and see if i needed to archive my own fics...sure enough there were a few. among them was the first fic i ever made that was never finished......and though they may never see the light of day again at least i saved them because the ones i had to save were fics that i no longer had the original files for.

anyone who ever used or posted fic on FFN now is the time to go in and save your stuff and anything and everything you can. i’ve had a feeling in recent years that FFN was going to die, but only recently was that really confirmed. doesn’t matter what it is fics need to be archived or they will be lost forever.
