Way back in 1996, Rupert presented a report for BBC-TV’s heritage conservation series One Foot in the Past about the importance of Birnbeck Pier in Weston-Super-Mare where Rupert grew up and appeared on the pier in entertainments as a kid.
The twitter-pic shows Birnbeck Pier today. As you can see from this sad photo, and recent tweets between Rupert and local campaigner Michelle Harvey, it still needs our help.
