I really don't understand what you mean about appropriating your language. It's English, and it's as yours as it is mine, no one owns language. No language is forbidden for anyone to use. Especially if the word already exists, like in the case of extra, you used outrageous and surplus but in the end extra means 'too exceed', and that can apply both to things that are excedent and someone's whose behavior is exceeding limits. You made the two definitions seem further apart but they're the same.

look: u can argue linguistics all day im sure ud love to but heres a rain check. theres plenty of british words that are the same here but dont have the same meaning. ex: chips = french fries over in britain, but its not used that way over here. its the same shit w/ aave, but suddenly no one wants to respect that bc its a black language created specifically by and for black people and it was created in america, primarily due to antiblackness and oppression
people constantly make fun of and harass black people for "talking black" / "talking ghetto" but suddenly now its fun and trendy to use aave so everything is ok!!! but its not!!!!! its not ok!!!!!!!!!!!!
