Black is Beautiful
When I was a child I remember asking my Grandma if she could put that stuff in my hair that made it soft and straight. I also remember asking my mom why I couldn't have lighter skin like my sister and my dad and crying because I didn't want my big lips especially since kids use to bully me for having them. So when my younger siblings tell me they don't like my afro or ask me why I have full lips, I don't get mad. I just ask God to help me teach them that they are beautiful the way they are. I want them to know BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL so that they won't grow up confused and hurt like I did.
