Florence Ave. ____________________ RESIDENTS PROTEST FOR FLORENCE LIBRARY Florence-Firestone, CA: On September 5th, over 300 community members gathered in a historic rally in support of the Florence Library and made several demands to Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and his office. Residents believe the Supervisor’s response to the rally through a press release did not address any of the demands made. Members of the Florence-Firestone community have already made several attempts to meet with the Supervisor but continue to be ignored.
