i mostly write for my own fun first, but it’s really nice to hear people enjoy the characterization since that’s something i try to focus on a lot when i write them.

I hope you dont mind if I say I really do like the conflict between these three, and I wish more people would look at it objectively from all sides. It's a really interesting overlap of many social themes and issues, and I don't feel like anyone is just one single victim (except seiji. hes not rly a victim and he took it from like, a 80% drama rating to like, 500% boy chill)

ive been watching it and its been good! but the relationship that popped up is... very forced. Even Jack and Akus lady self had a better build up and made more sense. This romance they've build is very trope-y and I feel like in terms of writing, its been one of the worst things they've done. Which isn't to say its terrible, but its bad for generally superb worl
I haven’t watched it all but that’s the impression I’m getting too
maybe it has something to do with production and marketing. things can get really formulaic cuz so many ppl have their fingers in the pie to make shows like this happen. the money means losing creative control usually. at least from what i’ve heard on other shows for other studios. boiling it down to the blandest, most common denominator. action + romance = marketing success

Same. To me it just felt very forced and rushed - especially when the show is about to end and the main thing we’re hoping to see is the defeat of Aku. Why waste an episode on this? They were already cooperating. Why the jump into romance? This is something they should have done if there were multiple seasons planned (or even a couple of more episodes), not two episodes left.
It all felt like an April Fool’s episode, honestly. The music, the tone, the pacing - all of it like a joke. Now I’m expecting her to die off for drama, because what other purpose could this romance have?
