hey so you have a great blog, ive totally been in love with it for a while but ive never talked to you. question though: so my friend asked me today, "what's the relationship between willl and hannibal" (she doesn't watch the show). it's so complex, how would you describe it?

daww thanks for the love! i will try my best to describe how i see their relationship

for hannibal it's a relationship based upon curiosity: hannibal is definitely curious as to how will's empathetic mind works and this is what draws him towards will originally and what grows once will becomes ill. this of course changes slightly once he gets to know will and sees him as a friend, someone who can relate to him even without knowing who he truly is. 

for will, it's a relationship based upon stability: will needs someone to understand his pain and struggles and since hannibal was with him throughout the whole garrett jacob hobbs/abigail event, he feels he can talk to him and not feel crazy. he can spill his emotions that he can't share with others to hannibal and try to determine what is real and what is imaginary. 

and i really ship hannigram (no one has to agree with me but i do), so to me it's these two things that these men see in each other that draws them together. they each need the other so badly and need to be understood that it causes some extreme tension (just like that ladder scene unf) like every single time they are in the same room.
