I Trust Black Men

I get so angry at the fact that the black man is the most feared human creature on Earth. I trust older black men more than I do law enforcement for more reasons than the obvious. Today I was walking around the art district taking pictures when a few black construction workers stopped me and asked what I did for a living and what I was doing walking the streets by myself. No one was hitting on me, trying to get my number or harass me. We simply ended up having a conversation about black art and how gentrification is affecting the lives of those who live in the NoDa district. I love my people and quite frankly I felt more safe and secure talking to those men than I would have any other men. Never forget that nine times out of ten real black men are going to keep their women from harm than any other. #foodforthought
