Hi JP and the rest whos reading this.
I know you are busy and your schedule is very hectic. I cannot imagen how much a political person has on his plate on a day to day basis.
I’m bothering you today to bring up a concern we as a stance community has with our city at this moment. Now I know you get a lot of this type of emails and whatsapps on a regular but this is not a regular message you will get. This is not a message of demanding you should do anything, this is a message to ask you how can you help us with this issues.
We want to go the right way to raise our points.
We are not protesting blocking off the N2 because we want the authority to hear us.
We are not burning up tires and adding to pollution that we already have enough of.
We not adding on to the crime that the city is fighting.
We are not hurting the system of south Africa.
We pay our way
We pay our taxes
We working men and ladies. The one thing that makes us happy is to work on our cars.
It really sucks to work on a car and leave it in the garage to do nothing. Therefore, we have car meets to admire rides and get inspirations from fellow enthusiasts.
Majority of us come from the cape flats, we find an escape with our hobby rather then turning out to make easy money and start selling drugs and adding to crime that we have enough of here.
How much do you love seeing a smile on a face of a child?
Going into the communities and doing charity with the car club put a huge smile on a kid face. Not only kids but adults as well. The moment we pull up I’m sure we have changed one kids life at least by wanting to have a car as cool looking as one of the drivers.
We as clubs do more charity work and help communities then anyone around Cape Town or let me say the whole of RSA. I wish that you guys there up on your political chairs can see this.
A house burned down in the community, the car club not the CCT or the officials are there to help.
Child is diagnosed with a sickness; the car clubs pays to rent premises to raise finds.
We are not criminals
JP Smith we are not criminals Sir. We are a family and enjoy cars.
Suspending our cars make us spend more money to sort out. We have families but then are forced to stay out of work.
Why do you allow me to buy the parts at registered shops but yet deem it to be legal? Now I’m not writing this to pick a fight or anything like that.
I’m writing this message to you to ask you to meet us as a car community half way and show us that you guys there are actually trying.
Officer see a car meet then decide to have discs shopping with our cars. What did we do?
We did nothing wrong we just socialize and that’s it we were doing nothing illegal but yet they take our discs because I have in coilovers or I got a set of 10 000 rims on and my car looks nice. I did not kill anyone with my car I did not get into an accident with my car I’m not drunks or high I’m just out here at a public place with my friends and their nice cars.
Can’t we just go to a public place drop our cars and before we hit the streets lift it to our standard driving heights. Because we have in coilovers/Air suspension that gets legally imported into our country not get our discs taken?
Meet us half way. We the least of South Africa’s problem
