The amazon rainforest has been fucking burning for 3 weeks.

Almost 73,000 fires have been recorded in the Amazon rainforest this year - nearly double 2018's total of about 40,000 fires. It's a record high.

The burning and deforestation of the Amazon rainforest will have lasting effects for the global climate. It might be in a different country, but members of Congress can still take action.

These two beautiful humans here, @manariushigua & @florencia.fridman have been such a strong support to so many, including myself, the last couple years, and I’m sure so much longer than that. If you don’t know what is going on in the Amazon, it is really time for you to see 👁… The Sapara Nation, Manari’s family and tribe, are in constant duress due to large companies coming into THEIR territory and extracting resources. Florencia is a strong voice for the people always helping bring awareness to their plight through our cacao circles and her platforms. Can you imagine someone coming in and trying to take over your home?? I can- and it is the most stressful and awful feeling- the possibility of losing your home.
