Yorkie Rescue of America (YROA) in association with EZWay Promotions held a Red Carpet Fundraiser at Club Lure Hollywood in Hollywood, CA.

The star studded fund-raising event offered its supporters an elegant night at one of Hollywood’s hottest open air venues which included a red carpet welcome, cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres and access to some of Hollywood’s top movers and shakers.  All event donations went towards YROA mission to rescue Yorkies, provide them medical treatment and place them into loving permanent homes.

YROA is a federally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has a history of rescuing Yorkies from backyard breeders, puppy mills and abusive owners.  They have seen Yorkies suffering from severe malnutrition, dehydration, and visible tumors from years of breeding only to be tossed on the street when they are no longer useful or making money.

YROA is dedicated to the care and treatment of thousands of purebred Yorkshire Terriers that are victims of animal cruelty.  This includes the continuation of providing vaccinations, dental, micro chipping, spay/neuter and many other life saving medical procedures.  The average cost involved is $500-$1500 per rescue.  Often times care includes repairing eyesight, reconstructing jaws, repairing hernias, removing kidney stones, performing cancer treatments and painful skin scrapings.

YROA board of directors, Tiffini Cartozian, Brendon Carroll, Kiki Heinzer and Melanie Marden invited celebrities, animal lovers and Yorkers to come have an evening of fun, to walk the red carpet and support a worthy cause.

The Yorkie Rescue of America Red Carpet Event, in addition to hors d’oeuvres and cocktail reception, included a trunk show by Project Runway star, Gordana, a silent auction and a live DJ.  The night was hosted by Jenna Marx.
