Anonymous fan question: From a 15 y/o: Is it wrong for my ex to tell me that he’s still in love with me even though he’s dating someone else?
You kids are too young to be telling each other that you love each other. Nowadays you kids tell each other that after only a few minutes of knowing each other. Then you have 8-10 boyfriend/girlfriend relationships within a year and you’ve told each of them the same thing. Then when your true love comes along they don’t feel special when you talk about being in love with them because you tell everyone the same thing.
Lust and infatuation are completely different from love. Love is something special that doesn’t come around all that often, in it’s truest form, so when you do find it you want to make sure that person knows that what you have is truly special.
So save your “I love you’s” for that special someone. Saying those three little words is supposed to be a big deal, it should not be taken lightly.
