He had been expecting guests that night, and it seemed that they had arrived just a little sooner than he had expected. It was no worry to him, though, as the food was just about ready, and they could surely keep conversation to themselves while he prepared.
Washing his hands, he walked casually to the door and opened it with a small smirk.
"Good evening, I'm glad you could make it."
The road the nowhere.
Abigail had been having nightmares for a while now. Filled with images of her father, the girls she had helped him murder and the man she had gutted with her own two hands. A funny thing, the mind was. Kept her awake most hours of the night and during the day alive long enough to say she had lived through it. Once again.
Survivor. The word had taken a form in her, like a permanent home that could not be destroyed by the promise of a storm. Ongoing and in full throttle. That was how her life had treated her. And yet she had held her head above the waters and low against the winds. She had made it out just to fight it again.
Though the imagery of her most recent night terror had all but caused her to fall to her knees once her eyes opened to a dusty road, rocks daring to dig deep into her skin. Where was she?
Abigail brought a hand up to comb through her disheveled hair, mixing with the sweat on her scalp. Sleepwalking was something she hadn't been used to. Neither was the pounding headache that was surging through her skull.
She stood to her feet, brushing off the dirt that had collected on her knees. Her blue hues searched ahead and behind her. All she could see was a dirt road as far as the eyes could see. She was not in Maryland anymore. The question was, where in the hell was she?

"Hi... don't I know you from somewhere?"
The upside of the Kanima debacle is Chris Argent swears off hunting.
The downside? Open season for every other hunter that wants to try their luck. It's a veritable mess from day one-- looking for clues, hunting while avoiding being hunted-- Isaac developed a newfound appreciation for the crazy family that left. At least they tried to hide it.
It was no surprise that their Hitchcock re-enactment reached attuned ears but seeing newcomers drive into town still made Isaac a little mad. He definitely glared when he saw one of them in their cheap suits come out of his English class. Great. They infiltrated the school. Again.
"Excuse me," Isaac said, more passive aggressive than he should be as he shoulder his way past the dude.
