Jasper’s Savion Wright was one of four male singers cut during Wednesday’s show, which paid tribute to Motown. The top 12 boys were narrowed to eight, who performed in hopes of moving on to next week’s top six. (Girls perform and hear their fates Thursday.)

If I'm gonna mention Riley, I have to mention Savion too. What a smooth, perfect voice. I loved him last year, and I love him this year. There's no doubt that he's got one of those top 24 spots.

Those of you who have been directing your attention weekly at  ”American Idol” may notice that Savion Wright, who wowed  the judges during his initial audition, is no longer competing.
