This sticky baked chicken recipe combines the sweetness of apricot preserves with the savory flavors of sage and garlic, finished with a bright hint of lemon zest. It's a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1/2 cup apricot preserves. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 lemon, zested. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 190C 375F. Put chicken breasts in a baking dish and season them with salt and pepper. Put sage, garlic, lemon zest, apricot preserves, and olive oil in a small saucepan. Over medium heat, mix well and slightly thicken for three to five minutes. Spread the chicken breasts out evenly as you pour the apricot mixture over them. After the oven is hot, bake the chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the juices run clear. If you want, you can serve it hot with extra lemon zest and sage on top.
