This is an important thing to know when you go to Pike Place Market and the area around it:
Do not buy one big meal for lunch while you are strolling through Pike Place Market.
Why? Because there are hundreds of affordable hole-in-the-wall eateries that offer delicious snacks. Why fill up on one food when you can have a variety of foods at around the same price? There's Piroshky, Piroshky and Le Panier that both have small, but mouth-wateringly delicious items in their bakery. At Beechers, everything is in small containers, and their grilled cheese sandwiches are moderately sized (keep in mind I'm a guy and I eat a lot) which can be easily split up between two/three people. Beechers also has macaroni and cheese that is so good... yum, oh my gosh, if... yum... if I only had five minutes to live, the last thing I'd want to eat is the Beechers handmade macaroni and cheese; the macarroni and cheese comes in small containers which you can carry in the palm of your hand as you walk around the market. At Crepe de France, the crepes come on paper plates and can be easily split among a group of people, which I've done before. There are only a few sit-down-and-wait restaurants at Pike Place, but my point is...
...if you want to try everything, and not just one huge platter of ___(blank)___, then I'd consider walking from eatery to eatery spending a couple bucks on something that will not fill you up and'll let you sample good stuff someplace else.
Pike Place Market has so many fantastic eateries, it's insane... and you've got to try them all!
