I’ve trained many men over the last 30 years and often kept quiet about those that were required to deal death to evil men in order to protect the innocent. Some are born into regions at war and thrust into it at a young age –– while others chose it as a profession. For this man, a warrior among warriors, it was because of both. Why do I share this now? Because it has been through men I have the respect for, like Tuhon Tom Kier and Tuhon Harley Elmore, that accepted and grafted me into the Sayoc Tribe and passed on knowledge, skillsets and mindsets that expanded my capacity. It gave me a desire to keep learning, growing and equipping others who are on the front lines and for some who must go behind the front lines into even darker territory like the jungles of Burma to fighting ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Although I met Pamana Tuhon Chris Sayoc only once in this life, I feel I see glimpses of him again and again through every lesson taught and principle caught.
