since being back in town, bob had gotten his old job back at radioshack. not his last job at the store.. he’d been manager back then. but after a series of no-call, no-shows (and disappearing for almost four years), he had to start from the bottom (as a team member and cashier) and work his way back up. which bob was totally fine with! it kept him busy and out of the motel during the day. plus, he was good at his job. he liked helping people and (most of) the customers were happy to learn from him.
he was just finishing up rearranging a display of their newest walkmans when the bell above the door jingled pleasantly, indicating that a customer had entered. “welcome to radioshack!” bob greeted as he turned to face the customer. “what can i do for you today?” he hoped that he could be of assistance. and, if not, he hoped he could find one of his younger coworkers who could.
