US v ENG Thoughts:

Rose should’ve come out immediately after jamming her knee that hard

Even though it was an individual lapse in mental focus that conceded the goal, we’re still showing major signs of vulnerability in the first 5-10 minutes after we score.

Crystal Dunn has to be making a lot more runs on the left flank and contributing to the offensive plan significantly more if there’s any point to playing her on the back line.

I’ve not tried to hide the fact that I have not enjoyed any of dkemps national team performances thus far. She’s great for NCC. But something is getting lost in translation. She kept Parris onside (when Dunn thought she was off) when we went down 2-1. And that mishandled clearance should’ve made it 3-1.

You can not convince me that Mal & Rose deserve to be starting, the way they’re playing right now, over Mewis & Press.

I feel really sad for Franch. I don’t think she’s gonna get another shot for awhile after this. What I’ve been missing most post-Solo is the confidence. She owned the box. I love Harris & Naeher, and they have their dominant days, but it’s not consistent. I think Franch’s style, demeanor, and athleticism could put her on that level.
