Received very sad news today that Jack Lonsdale, local Sugarbush legend, passed away this week. One of the most amicable and downright nicest gentleman I have ever met ... I could easily spend hours chatting with him while he tended bar at Chez Henri. My Côtes du Rhône just won't be the same without you at the white marble bar. I will miss your smile and your sense of humor, which you're proudly showing here giving Henri a set of "bunny ears" ... rest in peace, my friend ... hoping you and Stein Eriksen are getting some good runs in together!! #sugarbush #madriverglen #madrivervalley #sbcommunity (at Chez Henri)

#instacollage #flashbackfriday On the left, some little punk ass former version of myself, boards not yet parallel, partaking in #NASTAR week ... 1980something (I'm guessing 1984 - yikes!) at The 'bush. Gear was from our family friend and neighbor, and well known legend Sigi Grottendorfer whom I'm sure was on the side of the course encouraging is all to "Get in 'dere!!" On the right ... 2015, skis parallel, although I'm still not much taller than the bumps on Upper Paradise. It's neighbor, Ripcord, underwent a name change a few years ago (and earned an additional diamond from when I was a kid) and is now "Sigi's Ripcord" ... sometimes I swear I can still hear him yelling "get in 'dere!!" @sugarbush_vt #Sugarbush #sbcommunity #BeBetterHere #skiVT #skitheeast
